Giving Thanks With Eli Roth's 'Thanksgiving' Trailer

Before you head off and enjoy turkey, stuffing and all the pumpkin pie you can eat, why not say a little thanks to Eli Roth for our little holiday treat that we can now mention annually? Beyond the break you can watch Roth's faux trailer for Thanksgiving, a short that was included in Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's Grindhouse back in 2007. Roth has said he'd like to turn this into a feature one of these days; who wouldn't want a new holiday horror film to visit every November? "This holiday season prepared to have the stuffing scared out of you...."

I swore I read somewhere that Roth was actually making a full length film. I could be totally mistaken though.

First time I saw the trailer I thought it should be made into a film... then I eventually realized the film could never live up to the awesomeness of that trailer. Still... I'm interested in seeing it.

after Cotton, the crew and himself were supposed to make a full length feature film for this with the left over budget from cotton. and that came out of Eli's mouth....so we shall see if it actually happens cause if so I think it would be the coolest thing, deff the film slasher fans would love to put in their collection. and dont write off the film just yet cause just look a Machete and how it made it to be a feature film.

In many interviews, Roth said that he was going to make this a feature film after doing ENDANGERED SPECIES. Personally... I would much rather see this than Endangered Species... but I don't know enough about it to judge. IT'S BLOOD! SON OF A BITCH!

This is so crazy amazing. I love it. Allegedly, he is coming up with a script first. I hope so. I really wanna see this.

This would be a great film that we could be thankful for every "Turkey" holiday. Hopefully we won't get a film full of "stuffing". Thanks for the "horror" pie for dessert today Mr. Disgusting!!

Well just like drmb1990 said, they were suppose to make this into a feature film with the money they had left over from Cotton. I think there going to make it.

I hope the film version of this ends up closer to the trailer than the Machete movie inevitably will. Its too bad Eli Roth has the tendency to promise movies he never finds the time to actually make. His follow-up to Cabin Fever was initially going to be Cabin Fever 2, and then it was going to be The Bad Seed remake, and then a college sex comedy called Scavenger Hunt, eventually he settled on Hostel for his second film, saying he'd follow that up with Cabin Fever 2 (once again), which he dropped in favor of Hostel 2.

That was my favorite Grindhouse faux trailer. It would be great to make it into an entire movie.

I understand its in development status.

When Eli Roth does horror comedy - it's freaking golden. What? Hostel 2 wasn't supposed to be funny?
