Lionsgate has really started to push Peter and Michael Spierig's futuristic vamp film Daybreakers, which features Ethan Hawke, Sam Neill, Willem Dafoe, Claudia Karvan, Michael Dorman and Vince Colosimo. We caught the bloody pic at the TIFF this past September (read the review) and are happy to report that it's quite a good time. You'll be able to catch it on January 8th. Until then, beyond the break you can dig on two brand spanking new stills that feature vamp Edward Dalton, a researcher in the year 2019, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world's population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.
I agree with SkaryMoviez, but I like vampire movies like Interview with a Vampire, Bram Stokers Dracula, Dracula 2000 and From Dusk Till Dawn but all those were released well apart from eachother and now it just seems constant. It's one after another after another.
Im just glad zombies are getting a rest. Yet so many of these "vampires" are like zompires these days...
or vambies. Movie makers have almost killed zombies, I hope they beat vampires to death and shame for a little bit. :-)

I love the cast, so I am sure this thriller will be a blast or at least blood-curling. Thanks for the photo gallery. Willem DaFoe just rocks in everything he does.
Have to say im really lookin forward to this one...underworld was good stuff but this has the potential to kill it in my opinion from the cast to hopefully some memorable kills fitting only a action vampire flick..should be cool
