Simius Films is proud to introduce you our first production, Paranormal Effect, the supernatural feature film about one of the most famous Japanese curse! Visiting her native Japan with her American boyfriend Darren, Reiko is disappointed to see him spend most of his time filming local stereotypes. Already upset, Reiko draws the line when Darren walks into a forbidden cave, which, according to local beliefs, enshrines shinto gods since the dawn of time. From then, Reiko and Darren start witnessing strange things happening around them, some of which they manage to catch on camera. Will they have time to understand what is upon them before it is too late? Found and edited by the 2 japanese producers Ryuichi Asano and Teruo Ito, the video footage will be brought to the world on VOD and Video distribution on January 2010!
More of this type of "found footage" films?! Why do they keep putting out these types of films. The plot doesn't sound too bad, yet I still get quite annoyed with the constant ghost aspects of J-horror. It seems that these Gods will take a ghost form by reading that. Good luck to them in making it interesting though.
Oh god...here we go with the imitators! At least it takes place in Japan, and being a lover of all things Japanese, I have interest in seeing this. I wouldn't mind seeing one shot in the "Haunted Forest", Aokigahara, someday. That place is creepy and ripe for a Blair Witch style movie.
wow filmmakers arent even trying with this one...hmm paranormal activity was really successful...lets just change the second word...maybe give it a near synonym...yikes this looks poorly done
Well, didn't some foreign markets buy the sequel rights when they were buying Paranormal Activity? (there was a BD article stating this) Maybe this is a Japanese sequel?
i know its a rip off and it will suck but i love this kind of stuff b-movies cant tell if its going to be on dvd??
