Wow that line is LAME!

Take The Matrix (computer-programmed reality) and 28 Days Later (a virus that turns people into rage-fiends)...and you get Daybreakers??? I must be missing something here.

Obviously they mean the slick modern world of the Matrix mixed with the Post-Apocalyptic/dirty/lonely world of 28 Days Later. Statements like that one rarely mean "take the plot of this movie and put it with the plot of this movie", They usually refer to the atmosphere/look/style of the films that they are comparing to. But I must admit, it is a fairly terrible line to put on a poster.

^^ Oh, I agree with you. However, at face value, I'm sure it'll be interpreted that way (the plot-plot mashu-up). Additionally, the sheer amount of "..." in the quote almost makes me want to go look it up in its entirety...but...I think I'm just going to write that line off completely.

I saw the trailer for this in front of Saw VI. It looked terrible. Then again, I SAW THE TRAILER IN FRONT OF SAW VI. So my taste in films is obviously suspect. I'll admit I've liked some universally hated films (all of the Saw sequels including the sixth one) so I might be wrong. I could love it. I'll have to check out next month's Fangoria and read the cover story on this. I'll decide from there.

Variety has clearly never seen any of the 3 movies it's referring to.

I dont see anything wrong with that line. The movie looks interesting, but then again I am a positive person.

Never compare your film to others! That is a big no, no. The films story doesn't sound horrible, but it's deffinately not good. The cast isn't bad though. I'll have to wait for more info on this.

this poster looks bad, i agree. however, i am sooo stoked for this movie! The Spierig brothers are a very promising duo. While Undead was flawed, it was wildly original and highly entertaining. can<t wait to see what they will do with a bigger budget and better cast!
