Another film we caught a promo trailer for was And Soon the Darkness, a really stylish film from director Marcos Efron that features two of the hottest babes in horror, Amber Heard (Mandy Lane, Zombieland, The Stepfather) and Odette Yustman (Cloverfield, The Unborn). Set in Argentina, the remake tells the story of two American girls on a bike-riding trip in a remote part of the country. When one of them goes missing, the other must find her before darkness falls and her worst fears are realized. The original was set in France and tackled the idea of how vulnerable a stranger in a strange land can be. Adriana Barraza and Karl Urban also star. Check out new details and first stills below!
I can't believe this advertising assholes didn't mention All the Boys Love Mandy Lane in Amber's credits in the 1st image.
Anyways, I've been anticipating this one. I hope it gets a wide release soon.
Very odd choice for a remake ... The original had alot of slow points but was worth a few viewings. Makes great adder material for ones collection, kinda interested as to how they decide to speed it up and if they give a more back story to the abduction character.
I believe the original was released onto DVD through STARZ/ANCHOR BAY ... Should still be availible. I know it was cleaned up alot and presented in widescreen.
Mandy Lane was overated and I didn't even see the un-born. But dam these 2 girls are hot as fuck. Hope this movie is good so I have an excuse to see it.
Slasher Freak, if this is for American promotions (or whatever) they wouldn't bother putting MANDY LANE in Amber's credits seeing as it wasn't released (if i'm not mistaken) in theaters OR on DVD(still!!!) here in the states. everyone will at least know of ZOMBIELAND
and PINEAPPLE because they were both hits.
I agree that everyone should see Necromentia. I do not, however, feel Mandy Lane was overrated. This movie has a lot going for it, but as usual we will have to wait and see....
