From director Daniel Grou ("Podz") comes one of the more interesting films of the American Film Market, 7 Days, which stars Rose-Marie Coallier, Remy Girard, Martin Dubreuil, Claude Legault and Fanny Mallette. In a film similar in theme to Law Abiding Citizen, a father kidnaps a rapist and tortures him for several days. Read on for the trailer and AFM promo art.

"Bruno Hamel is a thirty eight year-old surgeon. He lives in Drummondville with his wife Sylvie, and their eight year-old daughter Jasmine. Like many happy people, he is leading an uneventful life until a beautiful fall afternoon, when his daughter is raped and murdered. From then on, the world of the Hamel family collapses. When the murderer is arrested, a terrible project germinates in Bruno's darkened mind. He plans to capture the "monster" (Martin Dubreuil) and make him pay for his crime. The day the murderer appears in Court, Hamel, who had prepared his plan in great detail, kidnaps the monster and later sends the police a brief message stating that the rapist and murderer of his daughter was going to be tortured for 7 days and then executed. Once this task accomplished, he will then give himself up."

Can't wait for this...Looks very powerful and sure it will be unsettling, but hey, thats what films like this are made for. Glad its French made, they rule at shit like this!

Don't get many horrors with a decent set of balls these days, many are just light, unmoving, shallow, diluted, see it all before types (The Final Destination Anyone?). This one looks pretty hardcore with plenty of emotional wallop!!!! I'm in!!!

Yeah looks very good. I was also going to comment on how I liked the poster alot. There's another movie they posted on here called "The Tortured" that pretty much has the same storyline except it's a mother and a father torturing the guy haha

I don't know. Maybe I'm getting soft in my ripe old age of 26, but I don't see any need to push the torture porn envelope any further. I'm perfectly content having Martyrs be the grandmaster of envelope-pushing in that area for a good decade or two.

It seems torture films are all the rage at the moment - which is kinda sick, sign of the times huh. But can't wait for this film, if I get the chance!

amen, drayke although this movie appears to have a legitimate reason for the torture, martyrs pretty much plugged that gap inmy psyche for a good few years
