Moonstone Entertainment, who is also producing the long delayed From a Buick 8, revealed at the American Film Market that they'll be producing The Howling Reborn, which will be directed by Joe Nimziki from his own screenplay. No other details were revealed. In Joe Dante's '81 film, after a bizarre and near fatal encounter with a serial killer, a newswoman is sent to a rehabilitation center whose inhabitants may not be what they seem.

Another remake or a name-only sequel? Whatever it is, it sounds really bad.

Maybe, just maybe, they'll be making it more faithful to the book series this time?

Its not as if the original was a perfect film. Far from it. Considering one of the transformations ends with a werewolf that looks more like a muppet than a lycanthrope, there's plenty of room for improvement here. I'm just thanking god there's no mention of 3D yet. I agree with Exile on it working better if they stick to the books more closely.

Stick to the books! and the film will be a lot better. The original film isn't that great itself so there is a lot of improvements to be made.

Reboot this and do not make a sequel. Yes, this film could be amazing if done like the books. The Howling needs a fresh new start and not a continuation. Now that's a remake worth doing Hollyweird.

I really hope they just try and do a decent werewolf movie without remaking the first one again. It was already remade once as it is and I don't hear too many people praising Howling IV for being closer to the book.

I don't think this is a Howling remake, but most of the Howling movies are scary, especially the one with Sybil Danning and Christopher Lee. I don't remember the name of that Howling movie though. Thanks for remembering my birthday Mr. Disgusting, bb!!!
