Say what you will about the Twilight franchise, you know damn well you're interested in seeing what David Slade (Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night ) will turn in with Eclipse. I really don't understand the appeal in the Twilight series. I mean, to each their own, but I honestly don't get why so many people like it as much as they do. I see the appeal in a movie like Let the Right One In, but Twilight just rubs me the wrong way. But, like I said, to each their own.
It sucks though, because people assume the ONLY people who enjoy Twilight are the psyco fangirls and gay guys. Which is ridiculous and annoying, yeah it has a more female fanbase, but that doesnt mean every guy that likes it is gay. I personally am not interested in Twilight and Im gay. SHOCKER right? Losers...
I wouldn't care about this if it was the screenplay was written by Wes Craven and was directed by John Carpenter. The studio isn't going to allow the movie to pull far away from the source material. SO if the book still sucks, the movie will be the same.
While I liked 30 Days of Night, I thought it was a step down from Hard Candy, which was excellent. So Twilight 3 is just a further step down that road for Mr. Slade.
This will be a fantastic Unintentionally Funny Comedy, can't Wait!;p
And it's a shame garbage like Twilight/New Moon is all the craze these days with the tweenies...Where as superior and great movies like Let the Right One in get zero notice in comparison..
i think the main point of these movies are that they are teen dramas that just happen to feature werewolves and vampires.not a vampire-werewolf story with a love story subplot. they are made for the 90210 watchers which im guilty of but i also love straight up horror.and not that it matters but im gay and like em.

i'm gay and even though i prefer my vampires to be like the 30 DAYS OF NIGHT vamps, i liked TWILIGHT. it IS possible to like BOTH types of vampire styles folks. also, (i'm not putting them down) i don't get why some of you people are acting like these movies raped your mother and killed your father for christ's sake. so the fact you DON'T like these movies makes you a "real man"(or whatever)?! and makes anyone who does like it a psycho girl or "fag". get a grip. ok, it's not your thing. i can respect that, but for fucks sake respect that others might like something YOU DON'T!!!! it's not rocket science here guys.

I think this series is absolutely horrid. Utter crap. That said I don't knock the opinions of others . One likes what one likes. What I don't find debatable though is that this shit is no where near horror. In fact pretty fucking far from it. The only thing close is the fact that the characters are vamps and wolves. On all other levels this shit is a soap.
