Lisa Wilson’s Parlay Films has acquired all international rights to the romantic comedy Vamps, which will be written and directed by Amy Heckerling. The film will be a modern-day tale of two young female vampires living the good life in New York until love enters the picture and each has to make a choice that will jeopardise their immortality. Heckerling is best known for directing Clueless and Fast Times at Ridgemont Hight. Krysten Ritter (Confessions Of A Shopaholic) is on board as one of the female leads with additional casting underway. Production is set to start in March 2010 with Red Hour Films, Lucky Monkey Pictures partner Lauren Versel and Molly Hassell producing.
I might be interested, given I am a devoted fan of both Fast Times & Clueless. In addition the Vampire craze seems to be the lastest "In" thing. ie> True Blood, The Twilight saga & the Vampire Diaries are all equally hit tv shows and hit movies.
