For those of you who wanted ACTUAL news: Scribe Kevin Williamson tells MTV News he's busy finishing up the script for the fourth "Scream" film and a fifth one is already being planned which he's signed to write. "The fourth one is an ensemble. It'll take place right now, 10 years later, and it's going to take place in [Sidney Prescott's hometown of] Woodsboro. We'll have our three main characters, and we'll be introducing several more" says Williamson. He adds that those 'several more' will essentially be the stars of this new trilogy - "We'll also be introducing a little group, a little ensemble of new castmembers. That'll take us through the next three."

I can't wait. The Scream trilogy holds a special place in my heart, and I can't wait to see where the story goes from the fourth installment.

The Scream series is the reason why I got into horror. I trust in Williamson that he won't fuck it up. It was obvious that he wasn't behind Scream 3, which was in no way as smart as the first two.

I think this movie will really have to drop the irony and rev up the darker side of the franchise to be as successful as the original. If I look back at the Scream movies these days they kind of play out like PG13 movies and seem very dated. The parts that still work are the more suspenseful scenes like the opening with Drew Barrymore. I reckon this time it will toy with the phenomenon of remakes with "Stab" being remade and this spurs a whole new set of rules and murders. If I'm right....YAWN!

The Scream Trilogy are the best films ever in my opinion they are not only horror movies they are something more i cant explain it but im so happy there will be more!

Ya like WTF?, where is the synopsis?, I love the scream trilogy, first one is the best but love all 3, I am so excited for the 4th film, It was rumored in September that shooting was to begin in may 2010, so i hope that's still true so we can see the film in 2011, It's been too long already, I said this before but next year it will be 14 years ago since scream came out and 10 years since scream 3, WOW how time fly's by so fast.

Scream 3 was one of the worse sequels since Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure. That story was so ridiculous and stupid, no wonder Neve was hesitant about reprising her role. And to anyone who says its the best trilogy ever (cjhorror) CLEARLY has not seen the Evil Dead trilogy... i mean come on...

Do I smell Scream vs Saw in nearest future ??

I dunno. If its Scream, Im all over it. I HOPE its good, but I dont really care if its good or not, as long as its fun and not flat out cliche or lame (like F13 remake. I feel SO sorry for F13 fans....)
