Basically he said that neither him or Wes Craven were interested in making another Scream movie until he woke up one day and had an idea for a new trilogy. He said the 4th is very far along and that he has a contract to do another one after this.

it will be interesting to see how they make this fresh. 90's teen horror is over, or at least its supposed to be over ahem-sorority row-ahem. movies in general are more dark and gritty now-a-days and i cant see the same formula working in the new trilogy. maybe sidney should be a hooker and the ghostface mask should be half missing with a beard!!

It's obvious that Sidney is going to die in 4 and only be a small part of it. Every time they ask about the new film he gives out all kinds of details and then when they ask about the extent of Neve's character in the new one he gets stupid..."uh...well...she's in the movie, and that's all I'll say."
