While the Korean sequel to The Host is still being scripted, Twitch Film discovered that a video game is already being developed for release alongside the creature-feature. "This 'The Host 2' videogame will be a multi-platform FPS project (including mobile, console and PC) with mutant humanoids graced with superhuman skills. As for the film, the script is still in progress, and an announcement regarding director and cast will be made by the end of the year." The sequel will have to tread carefully to avoid criticizing the Chinese government as the story will concern a calamity caused when people ignore a monster due to their desire for money.
I thought the host started off well, but halfway through, got really, really tedious and never recovered.
I thought Cloverfield was a similar idea done better. But a videogame based on the Host sounds cool.
