Bloody Disgusting got the scoop that Automaton Transfusion director Steven C. Miller is set to get behind the camera for Scream of the Banshee, which is penned by Anthony C. Ferrante, director of Boo!. The film, which is being produced by After Dark Films, is set to go behind camera this November in Louisiana. No story details have been released, but we'll see what we can conjure up.

Automaton Transfusion is way over-rated. I cannot even say I enjoyed it at all.

Who is way overrating Automaton Transfusion? It's a slightly-better-than-average-no-budget zombie flick.

Yeah...I just watched and reviewed Automaton Transfusion recently, and I think that it may have been the most hated movie I have ever reviewed. No sense of cinematic chivalry on display, just an excuse to play mediocre hardcore music in a movie and throw money away on the worst camera technique I have ever witnessed. I'll give the dude another chance as I am not that close minded and maybe he learned something with his first foray into directing - plus Ferrante's involvement helps a lot too.

Automaton Transfusion sucked, end of discussion.

wasn't homeboy rumored to be directing the MOTEL HELL remake or am I still high on glue?

I still can't believe Automaton Transfusion even got a DVD release. I mean seriously, there's a difference between "low budget indie" film-making and "incompetent, unwatchable amateur" film-making, people. If this guy has ANY potential as a director, he sure went well out of his way to hide it in his last film.

And how many films have you guys made?

Automaton was a piece of crap. Some of the worst dialogue I've ever heard, horribly written and the directing, well, it puts Uwe Boll to shame. I'm shocked that this kid is directing a three-dollar film. After Dark is the perfect place for him. No one will see his next cinematic piece of shit.

I have done some film work, mainly shorts and one feature that can be readily bought at a handful of retailers, like Automaton Transfusion. So, does that make my opinion of the film any more important than anyone that has not done any film work? Nuff said.

cool movie, hope he keeps the screamo/fake-hardcore out of this one.

'Automaton Tranfusion' is the main reason I don't trust anything that BD recommends (don't get wrong, I love the site but I loathe this movie and bought it based on their recommendation). It was a huge half of a turd. 'To be Continued...' what a fucking cop-out. I guess his Nokia cell phone that he filmed it on must have run out of memory. Anyways, maybe if he has real equipment, a cast and crew that are decent, and for God's sake a script, then maybe he'll do allright. I won't hold my breath.

coffinjoe, I couldn't agree more. Especially when it's Brad reviewing. He's got the worst fucking taste - or he gets the biggest bribe :)

This guy's a hack, give money to a real director.

Let's remember that the original Evil Dead has many flaws as well. It was incredibly indie and shows. Still, it was amazing for its budget. Do you think that Sam Raimi still sucks? .....we all have to get our start somewhere, and for a lot of us (yes, me included) we have to make it happen for next to/pretty much nothing. Not everyone has a rich uncle, and funding a film is about the most stressful thing you could imagine.
