Over at the film's official website you'll find the first clip from Jon Harris' The Descent: Part 2, which arrives in UK cinemas in April. The sequel will continue the story of Sarah, who as the only survivor of an all-female caving expedition gone horrifically wrong, suffers severe psychological trauma. Unable to speak, she accompanies a rescue team back to the cave, but events once again take a sinister turn.
I feel just a twinge of early onset sequelitis in the clip and trailer, but this still looks good. I do think some fans who prefer the original ending to the film are going to take issue with the set-up of this one.
i can't wait for this. i DO prefer the original ending (with them ALL not making it out of the caves) but i'm not going to let that ruin what i've read is a worthy followup! i hope we, in the states, get a release date soon!
Im stoaked for it I loved the first a lot like alien. I think it would have been cool to have her go back to the caves with military types, much like Aliens I think that would have been sweet.
