An indie comic I picked up at the San Diego Comic Con this summer is Viper Comics' Dead@17. Created by Josh Howard, the comic focuses on a girl, Nara Kilday, who is killed and then reborn to fight demons. It's pretty good sh*t and knowing Trick 'r Treat's Michael Dougherty is attached to direct is comforting. Too bad there isn't much movement on the live-action adaptation. “That’s so early in development,” Dougherty tells MTV. “There’s just nothing to talk about right now.” He adds, "We’re still kicking around ideas. It’s really, really early." Fingers crossed this project happens, there's nothing like a hot chick slaying the undead.
Anyone else think that Natalie Portman and Kiera Knightley with those big doe eyes could play the two girls perfectly? I'm just saying...
