Kadokawa Pictures revealed to Bloody Disgusting that their latest Ju-On sequels have new American titles (it makes it so much easier, don't it?). Mari Asato's Ju-On: Kuroi Shoujo has been retitled to Ju-On: Black Ghost, while Ryuta Miyake's Ju-On: Shiroi Roujo has been retitled to Ju-On: White Ghost. Beyond the break you'll find Japanese posters for both, along with synopses and trailers.

JU-ON: WHITE GHOST---- In a certain house, a son who failed the bar examination kills five members of his family one by one. He then dies by hanging himself. At the moment of his death, he made a cassette tape recording in which he can be heard saying "I'll go. I'll go soon..." On the same tape can be heard the eerie sound of a young girl's voice. The entire family is slaughtered. A former friend, Mirai, is murdered, her throat slit... In the midst of her despair, a young girl, Akane (Akina Minami), sees...



JU-ON: BLACK GHOST----- Nurse Yuko (Ai Kago) is left in charge of a young girl named Fukie, and begins to experience strange things. Medical examination reveals that there is a ‘cyst' in Fukie's body. The hatred of the unborn one is feeding off of the young girl, and curses the people around her. This is the grudge of someone that could not be born... Filled with an unimaginable ‘hatred', people are killed one after the other with a curse.

PresidentObama 1:19am, October 15, 2009 I've viewed both on DVD and can say that neither are direct sequels to the former Ju-Ons though the 2 are very, very loosely related. That said, "white" is much better than "the Grudge 3" but "black" is probably the worst in the whole series, both U.S. and Japanese versions combined.

DreamWave 1:54pm, October 15, 2009 That White ghost looks freaky as hell in the first clip with that face shot...Ju-On Black doesn't look so great. As for The Grudge 3, the only good scene in that was when that kid in the very beginning was being tossed around in his cell and getting every bone in his body broken. But as far as being the lamest, i'm gonna have to give that to The Grudge 2....there were a couple of creepy moments, but overall it was just lame for the most part.
