It was inevitable.
The new trend is '3D horror', which sounds great in concept (things coming out at the audience and what not), I have yet to see it done well.
My Bloody Valentine did a decent job with 3D, The Final Destination had great potential but was by far the worst of the series. The series is only still around because its a money machine, and Saw IV, V, and soon VI all prove that. Hopefully Piranha will be good, and Aja's done good work (Hills Have Eyes, High Tension) before so there's still hope.
