Check it all of the goodness below!

KEVIN SMITH'S RED STATE

After the Weinstein brothers passed on Kevin Smith's horror screenplay Red State, it looked as if the project would go from "on hold" to "never gonna happen." News comes in via Den of Geek who chatted with the cult director and got some fresh, invigorating news.

I got a call at 2am last night. I think we’ve got the money for RED STATE,” hes tells the site, with a full interview forthcoming.

They also write, "We double checked that with him directly to make sure that’s what the man said. And he did. Whether it’s his next project or not is unclear (but unlikely, we’d wager). But RED STATE might, at last, actually be happening."

RED STATE is a horror film in which a group of misfits encounter fundamentalism gone to the extreme in Middle America.

TRIANGLE GAME/QUAD

Christopher Smith's Triangle arrives in UK cinemas on October 16. Below you'll find the new UK quad, while a new interactive game has just been released.

"It’s an interactive game where you can choose your own path, sort of like a Choose Your Own Adventure type thing. It’s an annotated YouTube video so at the end of each clip, you have two choices to make." Click here to take a look.

When Jess hits a seagull on a drive to the local harbour, little does she know that it is a harrowing omen of things to come. She sets sail on a yacht with a group of friends and already things are not as they seem - she just cant put her finger on why. Her suspicions are heightened when the yacht hits a storm and the group is forced to board a passing ocean liner to get to safety - a ship Jess is convinced shes been on before. The ship appears deserted, the clock on board has stopped, but they are not alone Someone is intent on hunting them down, one by one. And Jess unknowingly holds the key to end the terror.

STEPHEN MOYER ON TRUE BLOOD

Click here to watch the interview

I know a lot of you are "True Blood" fanatics (as am I), so below you'll find a brand new interview with leading vamp Stephen Moyer, who plays Bill Compton on HBO's show. The second season just ended here in the States and the first is now available on DVD and Blu-ray. Check it out.

First season synopsis: "The series follows Sookie Stackhouse, a barmaid living in Louisiana who can read people's minds, and how her life is turned upside down when the Vampire Bill, walks into her place of employment two years after vampires 'came out of the coffin' on national television."

BEHIND-THE-SCENES OF HOUSE OF THE DEVIL

Below you'll find a new behind-the-scenes video for Magnet Releasing's The House of the Devil (review), Ti West's latest horror project, which stars Greta Gerwig, Jocelin Donahue, AJ Bowen, Tom Noonan, Mary Woronov, Dee Wallace, Mary B. McCann, Brenda Cooney, John Speredakos and Heather Robb in an 80's homage based on true events. The flick is now available on VOD, Amazon and XBOX, and will be arriving in limited theaters come October 30 (this is a pretty good movie to see Halloween weekend). Ti West's Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever will be hitting DVD in February, while you can also check out his other indie films, Trigger Man and the critically acclaimed The Roost, on DVD now.

"Set in the 1980s and based on true, unexplained events, THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL stars the sexy Jocelin Donahue as cash-strapped college student Samantha Hughes, who takes a babysitting job in a remote mansion with her good friend Megan (Greta Gerwig, BAGHEAD). She’s desperate for money and the pay is good, but something feels wrong, and Samantha quickly realizes that the girls are trapped. As a lunar eclipse darkens the night sky, Samantha finds that her employers—cult favorites Tom Noonan (MANHUNTER) and Mary Woronov (ROCK AND ROLL HIGH SCHOOL)—don’t have a baby at all, and have something truly terrifying in store for them."

WHITAKER TALKS JEKYLL

In an interview with MTV, Forest Whitaker talks about his forthcoming role in Jekyll and Hyde, the adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic 1886 novella "Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" that will also star 50 Cent.

"It's a father-son kind of relationship," he tells the site adding that he'll play Jekyll and 50 would play Hyde. "It's also [an interesting script] because we are dealing with similar things. You know, this Jekyll has a lot of issues and problems personally, himself. Hidden passions, hidden perversions — and it's acted out by 50."

Abel Ferrara will be directing.

LOVELY BONES INTERNATIONAL POSTER

From Yahoo! comes a new poster for DreamWorks' The Lovely Bones, which arrives in theaters January 15.

Based on the critically acclaimed best-selling novel by Alice Sebold, and directed by Oscar winner Peter Jackson from a screenplay by Jackson & Fran Walsh & Philippa Boyens, “The Lovely Bones” centers on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family – and her killer – from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal.

DEXTER GETS ANIMATED

Showtime has launched a special DEXTER websites entitled "Early Cuts". Premiering on Sunday, October 25th, you can check out 12 one-to-two minute animated shorts.

"On the heels of the record-breaking premiere of the 4th season of SHOWTIME's Emmy®-nominated series DEXTER, the network has announced the launch of an exclusive animated webisode series entitled Dexter: Early Cuts. The twelve-part series told in four, one to two minute chapters, will premiere on Sunday, October 25 on www.sho.com.

Dexter: Early Cuts was conceived by SHOWTIME as a way to continue building on the mythology and critical mass that has grown around the television series. For the past three seasons, fans have watched Dexter (Michael C. Hall) as he has doled out his distinctive brand of vigilante justice. Now with Dexter: Early Cuts, for twelve weeks fans will get a chance to learn how Dexter's killing techniques evolved, from haphazard to the calculated methods seen on the show.

In this multi-part web series, written by DEXTER producer and writer Lauren Gussis, viewers see the demise of Alex Timmons, a corrupt Gulf War veteran, Gene Marshall, an arsonist, and Cindy Landon, a "black widow." The series will also provide fans with fun and interesting facts about Dexter, including how he bought his boat, the Slice of Life and when he began collecting slides of his victims. Each webisode will be brought to life by a different illustrator. Kyle Baker, an eight-time Eisner Award winner, and one of the genre's biggest names, headlines the roster along with Andres Vera Martinez and Ty Templeton. The stories are driven by voiceover from Dexter (Michael C. Hall), narrating his investigative process as he discovers his victims' guilt, stalks them for reconnaissance and eventually doles out his unique brand of vigilante justice.

In addition to the webisodes, SHOWTIME has created several other innovative initiatives in digital media to support the new season of DEXTER. A multi-input game that crosses multiple platforms, from on-air to online to mobile devices which debuted in late September. Each week users are asked to solve a challenge or find a hidden clue to help reveal a never-before-scene image or video clip from a future episode of the show. Also, fans of the hit series can experience DEXTER via a YouTube game called "Where's Dexter" based on the popular "Where's Waldo" concept, in which users are challenged to find Dexter in various scenarios such as a crowded city street. Additionally, fans will be able to "Dexterize" their Facebook pages, complete with dripping blood and plastic wrap, as well as play a viral online game, DextersChangeTheBaby.com. Through the game, fans can upload their photo and replace the face of Dexter's new baby with their own image. Fans can choose from a series of baby photos and share with friends via Facebook.

...starring 50 cent well there goes that movie down the tubes. I mean Kevin smith cant get financed but a movie with 50 cent does, stupid. As for Red State, yeah I mean reading that one line synopsis,it doesnt sound much like a horror film. Maybe some kind of dramatic movie with a message type.
