Okay, I know Cage has made quite a lot of shit down the years, but he's also been in some of the best movies of the last three decades. The fact that his name makes people on this site lose interest yet the presence of the director of Dracula 2000 and the writer of the Messengers doesn't just plain worries me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed MBV for what it was and I think Farmer is an expert at writing solid, entertaining B-movies. But Lussier is a hack of the most basic order and one mildly entertaining (and not even always for the right reasons) slasher flick doesn't suddenly herald his second coming as a talented director. As for Cage, you should go back and watch Wild at Heart. Come to think of it, so should he.
