Hidden will join The Graves, Lake Mungo and Dread in the 4th annual After Dark Horrorfest, reports AITH. Hidden (watch the trailer below) is the story of Kai Koss who upon the death of his cruel mother unwillingly returns to the small town he ran away from 19 years ago. He is left in charge of the family home and the dark secrets that come with it. Kai soon finds himself tangled up in a series of murderous events that are beyond anyone’s control and his troubles begin to overwhelm him. He has spent the past two decades trying to forget a tortured past only to find that there are some things that you just can’t run from. Pål Øie (Dark Woods) directed from a script he co-wrote with Brio Flint. The cast includes Kristoffer Joner, Cecilie Mosli, Anders Danielsen Lie, Bjarte Hjelmeland and Karin Park. The next "8 Films to Die For" opens on January 29th.
These 4 movies look much more promising so far then the typical crap they usually release. So far they've only released 2 good flicks which both are actually great; Autopsy and Frontier(s). Wonder what this year's diamond in the rough will be?
God I hated Borderland. Probably the worst Hostel rip-off to date. The Abandoned and Deaths of Ian Stone were great, Butterfly Effect 3 was better than expected, and The Gravedancers was good for a laugh. Frontiere(s) was interesting but pales in comparison to real French horror like Inside and Martyrs.
Hidden looks good. The cinematography is excellent. Shame about the person of short stature in a red hooded coat though – A nod to Don't Look Now, but they could've gone for something more original :)
