They don't seem to get that movies like Ghost Rider are not going to attract PG-13 audiences, and by aiming for PG-13 instead of R, they lose the audience Ghost Rider would be perfect for. Movies involving Wolverine, Ghost Rider, or Punisher should never be made for PG-13 rating.

But of course they are ...I could live with pg-13 if they would drop Cage.

Nicholas Cage movies mostly suck because Nicholas Cage is in them, Ghost Rider being the perfect example apart from the PG-13 aspect.

I cant believe that the real story is that its going to be PG-13 not R. What about the fact that they are making a sequel to a god awful movie?

I would love to see some actual violence and gore in the movie and have it get a hard R rating BUT the studios have to think of all the damn kids and not ruin there innocent and pure brains.

I love Brannnon Braga, but he looked out of place as soon as they started asking the Ghost Rider questions, and Goyer got all the attention. That must suck.

I dont even care really no matter what they say. The first one tainted GH so badly I would just assume they do something else, and news of cage being in it just make it worse. He was ok in his early days but every movie he is in just gets a little worse than the last.

Cool, I can look forward to another franchise that I love - just like Terminator - watered down for the PG-13 crowd - not to mention the related side effects of a cinema full of kids on fucking cell phones! Ratings do make a difference. When I compare Terminator to Terminator Salvation, for example, the toned down level of violence adversely affected the film. I can see the same thing with this film - unless they can, as they mentioned, create a film in the vein of "The Dark Knight," which is one of my favorite films. As someone who actually reads Ghost Rider comics, the character is extremely dark, violent, and films based on the property should be such.

you know what this means, they will release the R version on dvd/blu-ray as the "AMAZING UNCUT UNRATED DIRECTOR'S VISION".
