as i predicted he doesn't have the stance or the look he doesn't even come close.this movie is setup for failure oh but go ahead and defend him wait till it comes out and see this horrible remake it's nothing but copycat scenes of the original.i really liked when puss dunes said they were going to make it there own they couldn't even come up with a original idea they stole scenes from wes's version and casted a person that doesn't come close to robert's freddy.this movie is nothing more than stirred fried shit.

I can't wait till NOES comes out and I am excited for Friday the 13th part 2 the most.

Roberts Freddy sucked past part 2. In fact the whole series sucked past part 2. Freddy became Beetle-Juice. I like all of the NOES movies, I even kinda liked 'Freddy's nightmares' the TV series, but man they sucked. "I am the Wizard Master!!", give me a fucking break.

Another unnesessary remake? Come on! Obviously it won't be as good as the original. I remember seeing the first one years ago when I was a little kid--it scared the shit out of me! I doubt this version will do the same.

LOL Beetlejuice. He was like Beetlejuice. He wasnt even scarry anymore. Hopefully this movie will make him scary again. Not so silly.

The Platinum Dunes films have been well made amd more importantly, well intentioned. It's pretty obvious that Bay, Fuller, and the rest are fans with a great deal of respect for the properties they remake. Not every aspect of every movie will pkease every fan, but they're committed to making the best films possible. If you don't think so, look no further than the remakes of The Fog, Prom Night,He Knows You're Alone, Halloween and so many others for examples of remakes by hacks who don't care what they put out, as long as a pretty trailer guarantees a good opening weekend.

i think you all need to stop bitchin and throwing out your harsh opinions of what you see in the trailers of all remakes. i only say this because i like how people judge a movie that hasnt come out yet but when it does it changes and you all think differently than what you saw in the trailer! Robert Englund=The Master of Freddy but Jackie is the best he fits him so much & he literally scares me!! so watch the movie before you speak & talk negative about a film that hasn't even shown you more..its just getting started

Roberts Freddy did not suck at all. First 3 nightmare on elm street movies were awesome, 4th one was ok, the last 2 I'll agree were more like comedy spoofs but I still enjoyed them. And he was also great in New Nightmare. Robert's Freddy was awesome too proved that he could play a serious and none serious role at the same time yet still make the movies enjoyable. Jackie is just a wannabe Freddy who can't act worth a good villain let alone to Englund any justice. So fuck you GI. Dan, you obviously don't know nothing about good horror movies. this remake can just die.

Nightmare 3 was an awesome film, but 80 percent of the time, Englund looked crappy and lame in it. the make up was weak, and he looked goofy in it at times...especially near the end in that boiler room, what a joke.lol the movie was a blast though, but since 3 the makeup and his performance has been goof-afied. Haley's main problem is that he's short...they say the make up and voice isn't final, thank god because it looked unimpressive...

I'm already dying to see it. You can be sure this'll be on all of my calendars within an hour!! Fuck yeah!

oh yeah and New Nightmare sucked too. "REEEEX" god I fucking hated that kid. And Wes Craven was such an asshole in that movie, talking about "Freddy as an entity" or whatever the fuck. The whole movie was about how Wes thought he made such an evil character that Satan himself would find Freddy so cool and menacing that he would want to stop being satan and become Freddy? Only a self mastabatory fuck would write a story like that about a character he created. How come no one in the movie thought to kill Wes Craven? I mean it was his fucking "nightmare/visions" that were making all that shit happen. Or was it satan? dun-dun-duuuuu

OK 'EnglundFTW',and 'DreamWave', I will admit that I liked Patricia Arquette, Jennifer Rubin, and Larwence Fishburn's preformances in 3. I like all of those movies, but I know they ain't quality.

Dear Brad Fuller: people who hate your remake (cos it´s just a remake, it´s not even a movie) hate it not for being good or bad, they hate the fact of the remake itself. Nightmare On Elm Street should remain untouched. There are millions of fans all over the world and all of them hate you for doing this. It´s so disrespectful. If you want to remake something, remake Hollywood, cos it´s over man. How can you sleep at night?

People are tired of remakes. They all suck.

GIDan....3 cant compare to 1 obviously, but you cant deny how entertaining 3 was, sure it has its faults but it's still a fun ride and probably the best Nightmare sequal period if you can look past the fact that freddy started to look and act goofier, was in the light and get past the cheese, than it's a fantastic time. And I hated New Nightmare, had to of been the worst out of the sequals. 1,3 and 2 are the best. And freddy's Dead was a blast, as horrible as it was lol 4 and 5 were mediocre, especially 5.

Freddy vs jason is another example of an entertaining and fun movie, but it's totaly mediocre and could of been sooo much better.

even though i was (and still am a little) angry at Fuller for his hyperbole regarding the FRIDAY movie and DVD, he DOES sound like a nice guy. i hope that F13pt2 turns out great! (although it seems like another rush job...like H2 was).
