Arriving on DVD and Blu-ray October 6th from Lionsgate Home Entertainment are four new Ghost House Underground releases: The Thaw, Seventh Moon, The Children and Offspring. Below you'll find new images and trailer for all four films. Which ones are you looking forward to the most?
THE THAW
A deadly prehistoric parasite is released when a Woolly Mammoth is discovered in a melting ice cap. Faced with a potentially global epidemic, four ecology students must destroy the parasite before it reaches the rest of civilization. One-by-one they are infected and one-by-one they turn on each other. Soon the survivors are left with only one choice - to make the ultimate sacrifice and burn everything to the ground... including themselves.
SEVENTH MOON
While honeymooning in rural China during the Hungry Ghost Festival, newlyweds Melissa (Amy Smart) and Yul (Tim Chiou) find themselves stranded at night in the middle of a superstitious ritual that may be more real than folk legend.
THE CHILDREN
What seems like a normal trip to their auntie's and uncle's soon turns into a disaster as uncle Robbie is mysteriously killed after appearing to fall off a sledge, and then mysterious child like figures from the forest start attacking.
OFFSPRING
Survivors of a feral flesh-eating clan are chowing their way through the locals. Amy Halbard and Claire Carey strive to survive their abduction by the cannibals and save their children. A subplot involving Claire's despicable husband, Steven, gives an opportunity to cleverly compare predatory civilized folk to the appetite-driven primitives.
i thot that bill moseley move THE GRAVES was supposed to b on the ghost house list... mayb thats the afterdark horror fest, can't w8 to pick up my copy of the children nezt week
The Thaw reminds me of the X-Files episode for season 1 and the other 3 look OK. I am not that impressed with the look of Offspring tho.I think it looks too cheap. IMO
I'm gonna see The Children & 7th Moon. Offspring looks terrible, which is a shame because the book is good (better as a sequel to the superior Off Season). Don't know about Thaw...I thought the same thing about the X-Files ep Ice.
Best Buy has a package deal (all for for $40 on DVD or $60 on BD). I'm still trying to decide whether to jump on that. I've been waiting for more BDs to get under $15, but I suppose it makes sense to go for BD if I'm doing it.
YES, I'M A HORROR MOVIE FAN AND I WOULD LIKE TO SEE LOTS MORE TRAILERS FOR SOME OF THESE NEW MOVIES COMING OUT (Horror). THEN I'LL KNOW IF I'LL BE ORDERING ANY FROM AMAZON STORE! MARILYN
