'Halloween 3D' Postponed?

I was a big fan of Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer's My Bloody Valentine 3D, and the announcement that they were going to tackle the next chapter in the increasingly convoluted Halloween series was music to my ears. But according to Nikki Finke, we might have to wait longer to see what they are going to bring to the table. Says Finke, "Bob Weinstein shut down H3D pre-production "because Bob just felt it was rushing too fast.". Indeed, I was a bit worried that the seeming rush to get the film in production would result in a compromised film (the same sort of rush didn't help H2 any), so this is actually good news. Let's just hope Weinstein doesn't change his mind and put the film into production while Lussier is busy on another film. Clink the link for more info. Finke also reports H2 will be back in theaters this Halloween for midnight screenings, which I think is- COW!!!

Good idea about it being postponed because i hate to see a movie getting rushed into production. they should take their time and figure out where the story will go.

They honestly should have that about this BEFORE they announced it. Anyways - GIVE US THE DAMN PIRANHA TRAILER!

As long as they're doing this to take some time to think the story and plot over, that's fine.

Just put a fucking guy in a mask and start filming. It's not like the movie is going to be any good if you think harder. Guy, mask, knife. Easy

Personally if this doesn't get made at all I will be perfectly fine with that. Rob summed things up quite nicely for me personally. But hey Lussier might do alright for himself. We'll see.

Hey Weinstein, I'll crack the story for you free of charge...open with clips of Michael's carnage from Curse, H2O and Ressurection while a voice-over recaps the Halloween story so far. Then segue to clips from the remake and its sequel and the narration mentions filmaker Rob Zombie chronicling Myers exploits in his 2007 movie. Finally, new 3D Michael emerging from the dark while the narrator intones, '...HE'S STILL OUT THERE". The old F13 movies had this shit down to a science!

"Guy, mask, knife. Easy" What is wrong with you people? This is exactly why most sequels, especially horror sequels, suck.

It was moving way too fast. I'm glad they're slowing down. We really don't need yet another rush job at the B.O.

They could take 10 years to make this and it will still be a pile of shit.

Not only would they have had to get a final draft(I doubt the rough draft was flawless) written, they then would've had to scout locations for filming, cast the characters and do all this BEFORE November. Just too crazy.

Hey, if it makes a better film, count me in. I can wait an extra year from 2010.

Way to go dimension. Make us wait longer for a movie that might not even get made. Dimension has a history of screwing things up. Its not surprising that they pulled the plug. I hope its a short setback and not a long one. Knowing dimension they might not even make the thing. Its no time to back up now. Take a damn chance. Go for it. I hope this baby is in production really soon. I hope they have the guts to follow it through to the end.

Hopefully the movie will just sit on the shelf and never get made. They are stupid anyways the second they see Halloween 2 wasn't in the top spot and TFD was. They announced a 3D! Fuck 3D!

damn. good things never happens!

Can't believe some of you are complaining about this. This is actually a good thing because I hate it when they rush films...especially Halloween films. Take your time and make a good script and hopefully they will decide against making it in 3D by then.
