Artist David D'Andrea has designed new poster art for Lars Von Trier's Antichrist specifically for Fantastic Fest '09. Take a gander at this gorgeous new take on the terrifying/beautiful film arriving in theaters October 23rd (it will also be available on demand Oct. 28th). The English language pic is set in nature and based on the theory that it was Satan, not God, who created the world. In the psychological thriller that evolves into a horror film, Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg will play a couple who retreat to an isolated cabin in the woods following the death of their child.
I have seen Antichrist and thought it brilliant. Von Tiers meets David Lynch. It is a film for some deep discussion. Charlotte Gainsbroug's performance is absolutey fearless. A beautiful make your death nerve twitch film.
Nice poster, reminds me of something like rosemarys baby where its subtle yet gets the point.
