Genre company Relativity Media has acquired Rubicon, buying the spec thriller penned by the scripting team of Ric Roman Waugh and Michael Alan Lerner and setting it up with Charles Roven at Atlas Entertainment. Waugh will direct the project, described as a contemporary revenge thriller set in a Mexican border town. No other details were revealed at this time. Waugh's the writer and director of Felon, a crime drama starring Val Kilmer and Stephen Dorff that had a limited release in 2008. Lerner penned Brian Wilson biopic "Heroes and Villains," which is set up at Samuels Media.
