If there was one movie you MUST see at the forthcoming Screamfest Horror Film Festival (taking place October 16-25 at the Mann's Chinese theaters) it would be Tom Six's horrifying, gut-wrenching, Cronenberg-esque horror film Human Centipede. Seriously, get your tickets now for the Sunday, October 18th (8:30pm) screening. To get you all juiced up for one of the most chilling films in years, beyond the break you'll find some clips from the film. In addition, we've added our exclusive interview with star Ashley C. Williams, who plays the "middle" girl in the human centipede. Get ready to be grossed out.

"Two American girls are on a roadtrip through Europe. In Germany they end up with a broken car in thewoods. They search for help and find an isolated villa. The next daythey awake to find themselves trapped in a terrifying makeshiftbasement hospital along with a Japanese man. A German man identifieshimself as a retired surgeon specialized in separating Siamese twins. However his three "patients" are not about to be separated, but joinedtogether in an horrific operation. He plans to be the first person toconnect people via their gastric system, in doing so bringing to lifehis sick lifetime fantasy "the human centipede"."

Can someone explain the term "Cronenberg-esque" to me? I've been on several websites that have been using this term to describe movies and I'm curious. I know it's in reference to David Cronenberg, but what qualities should a movie have that would make it "Cronenberg-esque?"

Cronenburg-esque usually refers to some form of destruction or altering of human flesh. While the clip offers nothing this could be interesting.

Hmm, interesting. Thanks for that. I was going through his imdb again and it was confusing the hell out of me. The man did "M. Buterfly," "Crash," and "A History of Violence." Great movies, but couldn't reconcile them with "The Human Centipede."

ElmStWhore, you really need to reference his earlier work like "Videodrome", "The Brood", "Scanners", "Naked Lunch". I think these films are more of what people assert Cronenberg-esque with.

I want to know what all this "medically accurate" crap is they keep talking about, because people would NOT live for long after being put into that situation.

You know its crazy because I love really fucked up , weird surreal movies like this ..... for example my favorite horror movie of all time is "Society" , yet after watching this clip, I really don't think I ever care to see this movies. I mean seriously, is their really a point in watching a guy sew people together so they can shit in someone's mouth and pass it along the chain. Its a really horrifying concept, but as a movie, I just don't see how it could keep interested for an 90 minutes or so. It just seems gross.

Well other stuff is going to happen in that 90 mins then all them being stitched together (if thats what he's really doing). And if not then I guess people will be watching them crawl around for 90 mins.

I really don't know what to think. It's a unique concept but very disturbing and uncomfortable.

While I find the idea horrifying I must admit that the scene ( particularly the girl's mmmppphhh) made me chuckle. My honest reaction. Hoping I'm not the only one.
