A small piece of news was hiding within the LA Times article for Oren Peli's remarkable Paranormal Activity. Apparently, the director of one of the scariest movies ever made is about to tackle Area 51 for Paramount Pictures. The studio picked up to the film rights to "Area 51" from Midway Games in 2004. Game was released in April 2005. Set in the U.S. government's most top-secret military facility, storyline revolves around a hazardous materials specialist who is called in to investigate a viral outbreak that could be extra-terrestrial in nature. Paranormal Activity has begun a lengthy journey in theaters today. Catch it before it;s too late.
I enjoyed playing the games when I was younger, and since the director's new 'Paranormal Activity' movie has gotten a good amount of attention and acclaim, I'd go see an 'Area 51' movie by him. why not ?
