In a new article over at the Hollywood Reporter they tease that a remake of Tony Scott's 1983 The Hunger is currently in development over at Warner Bros. Pictures. No other details were revealed, but we'll keep you posted when news arises. In the first adaptation, the Egyptian vampire lady Miriam subsists upon the blood of her lovers. In return the guys or girls don't age... until Miriam has enough of them. Unfortunately that's currently the case with John, so his life expectancy is below 24 hours. Desperately he seeks help from the famous Dr. Sarah Roberts. She doesn't really belive his story, but becomes curious and contacts Miriam ... and gets caught in her ban, too.
The Hunger is one of the most underappreciated vampire films around--a true under-the-radar classic. If you haven't seen the original, take this opportunity to check it out guys/gals. Oh, and fuck this remake.
@TheDeadMayTasteBad The Warriors was made by Walter Hill
This is the worst Vampire movie ever made Why Remake it Why not there are no new idea's in HollyWood
yeah thats what im saying, why remake this movie? i really didnt like it,but i dont think it's the worst vampire movie ever dude, ahhh and tony scott touching the warriors, what is going on? game over maan! game over!
i really don't understand why don't they just write something original and fresh.
im gonna start writting some stories that i would love to see in a theater!
It might just be crossed wires. It was reported months ago that Scott was considering making a SEQUEL, not a remake. There's already plenty of speculation going round that the Hollywood Reporter simply didn't do its research properly. That being said I don't think a sequel is a particularly good idea either, there's absolutely no audience for it.
ah man i loved this film when i was little, saying that i did have a crush on Bowie.
I think i'll have to watch it again to decide if i care about a remake or not.
never seen this (since was 2 yrs old whenever it came out), but now i am intersted in renting it......and like with everyone else, enough with the remakes!
No,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no and no. Mindless remake asshole's. The Hunger is so class and remaking it is a joke. My head hurt's i need a laydown.
