Filming has officially begun on Brian T. Jaynes' Boggy Creek, a low budget creature feature that stars Texas Battle (Wrong Turn 2: Dead End), Melissa Carnell, Stephanie Honore, Damon Lipari and Shavon Kirksey, reports Marshall News Messenger. In the lengthy article, Jaynes talks a bit about the plot explaining that it's not really a remake of The Legend of Boggy Creek from 1971. ""It's a thriller that centers around a story of five young kids who get caught out in a swamp in Boggy Creek, Texas," he tells the site. "They end up crossing paths with an ancient evil creature that lives in the swamp." The movie is loosely based on the old Big Foot or Sasquatch legends, he explained. The legend of boggy creek was a okay kinda movie but it was so old I had a hard time getting into it. This could be good but Iam not all that into big foot.
