Matt Damon Toplines Spielberg, Eastwood Supernatural Thriller!

Matt Damon will star in Hereafter, Clint Eastwood's next producing-directing project for Warner Bros., with lensing on the thriller set to begin this fall. For Eastwood, the project's a move into supernatural territory. Warner Bros. is keeping the logline under wraps beyond describing the project as a thriller in the vein of The Sixth Sense. So, we gotta cover this, right? I'm not complaining! Peter Morgan, who received an Oscar nomination for "Frost/Nixon," penned the script. Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Morgan and Tim Moore are exec producing. Project was originally set up at DreamWorks.

If Eastwood and Spielberg have their names attached to ANYTHING then its pretty much guaranteed to be fantastic. sticking Bourne in there isn't too thrilling but its better then say uhhhh, Pitt!

oh boy.... here it is in a nutshell.. Matt Damon (he's not that good of an actor, okay in those bourne movies) Clint Eastwood (WTF he is directing a horror movie, get ready for some slow pace horseshit) peter morgan (the dude who wrote the snoozefest crap film frost/nixon is writing. holy fuck bring a pillow) Steven Spielberg (wonderful so we can expect the movie to have either A. something dealing with AI's or B. Something dealing with Alien's Thanks but no thanks get over your fuckin fetish with Aliens and shit and go back to making shark movies. Frank Marshall (what did this guy do I don't even remember... wasn't he the guy who produce chicgo) YAY This movie will suck. hold me to it.

I don't know if tacking on Spielberg's name means instant 'awesome', but I'm pretty confident that Eastwood will bring the goods. I can't think of one movie that Eastwood has starred in/directed/produced in recent memory that hasn't kicked major ass. Correct me if I'm wrong... I'm very interested in how Eastwood's spin on 'The Sixth Sense'/supernatural is going to turn out. Very anxious to see where this is going.

This is a really strong cinematic ensemble. It won't be flat out horror but it will be good. Hell may even get some award season love. . .

First of all, any movie that has the name Clint Eastwood as a director is sure to be gold. I'm not even a western fan but "UNFORGIVEN" is one of the best movies EVER !! Gran Torino was great as well. I have total confidence in Clint directing any genre. He's more then proven what he's capable of. Bet on this one getting an Oscar nod. How cool would it be for a thiller to win best picture ??

Not sure if they will pull it off. Definately interested. They could do it. I'm just not sure they will

If you don't think Eastwood can do horror or suspense you may want to check out the best stalker movie ever Play Misty for Me. In addition to that, Clint dabbled with supernatural themes in some of his early films. I am very confident this movie will friggin own.

Don't understand how anyone could have anything bad to say about this, i would rather watch this film than watch a shit remake of something that doesn't need to be redone. Eastwood always delivers a great piece of film and same with Spielberg, could do without Matt Damon, but he is a decent actor, count on this being a decent thriller!
