We learned this evening at the Toronto International Film Festival that Sony Home Entertainment has also acquired the rights to distribute Rec 2 (review) on DVD. Maybe this time they'll put it on Blu-ray? The film world premiered last night at "Midnight Madness" and will open in Spain next month. The action continues from [Rec], with the medical officer and a SWAT team outfitted with video cameras are sent into the sealed off apartment to control the situation.
this sucks because SONY will probably do what they did with REC1 (i could be wrong but i think they are the ones responsible). the SUPER long delay in REC1's DVD release UNTIL THEIR QUARANTINE MOVIE CAME OUT was due to SONY.
i hope since QUARANTINE 2 is it's own story and NOT a direct remake/copy of REC2 means we'll get this relatively soon-ish?
chepe516 There are releases from other countries. I imported it on Blu-Ray from Spain. It's region locked so I got a region free blu-ray player...I got one for only $250 and it plays each disc from anywhere in the world flawlessly, well worth the $$$$.
Does anybody know if this will be screened in Los Angeles? I looked all over and couldn't find it...not one screening...no wide or limited release...what's the news on it?
