David Hackl, director of Saw V, revealed this afternoon via his Facebook page that pre production has officiall bgun on Saw VII. "SAW VII 3D pre production begins TODAY!! I'm so cranked," writes Hackl, "The story is always the most important thing in my opinion. This time I want it to be a game for everyone. I want to create the effect of feeling like you are right in a trap." No details have been given other than Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton have returned to pen the screenplay. Saw VI arrives in theaters October 23.
I dont care about everybody hating Saw, i still love it and cannot wait to see this one (or the 6th one for that matter). "If it's Halloween, it must be Saw!"

i would think they would only do 3D if it was either the 3rd one

Like "Sin Daddy" said, I hate this 3D fad too. It's cool in the theaters, but what happens when it hits DVD and Blu, the 3D will never be as effective as it is in the theater. A 2D version as an option is nice, but kind of defeats the purpose of the 3D.
holy shit every fuckin movies made 3D nowadays. and now saw, come on! saws a good franchise, its had its ups and downs, but now your jus bein stupid changin it like that. the shit comin toward the screen just ruins the visuals altogether. just keep the classic look for fuck sake.
I love the Saw series but I was hoping for 6 to be the last one. Maybe Lionsgate is fucking with us? Well hopefully they make this one good, but I don't like the 3D idea.
Does anybody remember the good old days of BD when there WEREN'T any fucking trolls?!! I've been coming to the site less and less nowadays. They're getting worse here then they are on IMDB for fuck's sake. Anyways, fuck the naysayers. We all know that the Saw movies are more entertaining than any of the remakes or PG-13 crap.
More entertaining than any of the remakes? While I love the first three and four was passable (albeit little more than an homage of the original trilogy), there are horror remakes that beat out the Saw franchise. The Thing. The Fly. Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I'll agree with you on the PG-13 movies though. I think the only ones I can still stand to watch are 1408 and The Ring, the rest are crap. With Twilight expanding into a film franchise you can say goodbye to the days of no trolls on BD.
