So go along with our early review, David McBride has chimed in with his intensely negative review for Christian Alvart's 3-year delayed Case 39, which is still looking for a theatrical release (why bother). "Alvart clearly favours scares over tension and loads the film with the former while completely ignoring the latter. There are countless jumps to be had, but most are delivered through actions inconsequential to the story (an alarm clock charms unexpectedly, a loud knock at the door) with little suspense generated even as Lillith becomes ever more unpredictable and threatening." I saw the movie at the "Fantasy Filmfest" over here in Germany and actually liked it (6/10). Alvart was also at the screening and answered some question. Zellweger (she was attached before the director was chosen) picked him after his pitch.
i agree with you slasher i actually been wanting to see this for awhile.
