Death Kills at the Box Office Two Straight Weeks

Fear has trumped romance at the boxoffice over Labor Day weekend. Fright flick The Final Destination remained the No. 1 movie for the second consecutive weekend with $12.4 million for the first three days of the holiday weekend. "The Final Destination" raised its 10-day total to $47.6 million. As for ol' Michael Myers, don't count on seeing him in 3D as the Rob Zombie directed sequel Halloween II dropped to #6 taking in only $5.6 million this weekend, for a total of only $25.6 million. It is nice to see that people still enjoy having a good time in theaters.

No surprise Halloween II dropped that hard and it deserves to. I'll say it again. If they want to use the Halloween title and do something new, remake Season of the Witch (Halloween III) in 3-D. It's a fun movie. Goodbye Rob Zombie for good. Give Michael Myers a rest. Amen

Good. Let Halloween burn. Fucking stupid movie that was.

I would think if anything this just reenforces why the Weinstein brothers want to do Halloween 3d. 3d sells. The Final Destination is the worst of the series and yet here it is in its 2nd week at #1. This just shows them that Halloween 3D would be an easy sell even if the movie ends up sucking. 3D is starting to become a crutch for horror movies again.

Hey fellow horror nuts! I recently purchased the two main vans used in RZ's Halloween 2 from a prop auction. I bought the white coroners van that Michael Myers' body was put in on the way to the morgue in the beginning of the movie. I also bought the black "shaggin wagon." I am going to be listing both on ebay within a few weeks but thought to give real fans a heads up first. If ur seriously interested in details email me @ tamerhassan6603@yahoo.com

I just came back from TFD and even though it's worst in the series it is a little bit better than H2.

Yes! Victory! Halloween II dropped by almost 70%. The film will may, MAY finally break even next weekend, but it's definitely not a success.

Thing is, Final Destination has nothing to do with story. It's all about having a good time watching people get killed. H2 was supposed to have a really bitchin' story about Michael and Laurie. H2 lacked what people wanted whereas TFD delivered in so many ways. The reason people go to FD is to kick back, relax and watch the guts fly. TFD deserves the money much more than H2 and i think New Line would be mad not to make another sequel. the FINAL destination my ass! HA!

That sucks. Halloween 2 was way better. TFD was WAAAAY too rushed. where were these people when My Bloody Valentine came out?

How do we contact the Weinsteins and ask them to not let Zombie ruin The Blob?

6:12pm, September 6, 2009

By the way, I called Zombie's failure on this sequel over a year ago and his suck-ass fans said I was crazy. I knew the real fans wouldn't be back after seeing his first piece of shit.

You guys are missing the scariest movie playing right now. Sandra Bullocks new one, All About Steve. The Rotten Tomato meeter is so low, Halloween 2 may actually prove to be a better movie. Now THAT'S scary.

"Halloween II" drops to # 6 in it's second week. I knew I should have put money on that shit last week. Would've been the easiest twenty bucks I ever made in my life. Damn.
