Early details have emerged on DVD ($28.98) and Blu-ray ($35.99) releases of Orphan, which stars Vera Farmiga and Peter Sarsgaard. Each will be available to own on October 27. The only extra material on the DVD release will be additional scenes and an alternate ending. The Blu-ray release will include those scenes, along with a Mama's Little Devils: Bad Seeds, Evil Kids and Orphan featurette, and a digital copy of the film.
"The tragic loss of their unborn child has devastated Kate and John, taking a toll on both their marriage and Kate's fragile psyche as she is plagued by nightmares and haunted by demons from her past. Struggling to regain some semblance of normalcy in their lives, the couple decides to adopt another child. At the local orphanage, both John and Kate find themselves strangely drawn to a young girl named Esther. Almost as soon as they welcome Esther into their home, however, an alarming series of events begins to unfold, leading Kate to believe that there's something wrong with Esther--this seemingly angelic little girl is not what she appears to be. Concerned for the safety of her family, Kate tries to get John and others to see past Esther's sweet facade. But her warnings go unheeded until it may be too late...for everyone."
I will buy the Blu-Ray for sure. But it's so weird because my uncle is the girl who plays Esther's teacher haha Imma try to get an autograph even though she's like 12.
Hope you get your autograph. That girl is going to be one helluva an actress. She deserves an Oscar for this performance alone. Anyway I can't wait to buy this. It's easily my favorite film of the year. So glad I saw it in theaters.
So disappointed,how come DVD release just with deleted scenes and alternate ending ? Sure there are enough of space for put in the features... :(
I was waiting for it so long... and hope get more features, but seems not.
