The official trailer was posted today from Reginald Harkema's Leslie, My Name is Evil, which will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this month. In addition, we got our hands on a bunch of new stills from that takes on the murder trial of the infamous Manson murders. You can check out everything below, or click here for all of our TIFF news.

Perry, a sheltered chemist, falls in love with Leslie, a former homecoming princess, when he is selected to be a jury member at her hippie death cult murder trial. Perry has always done what is expected of him. He was a straight-A student who got a good job at a chemical company and proposed to his Christian girlfriend, Dorothy. Leslie took a different path after she was traumatized by Kennedy’s assassination, an abortion and the divorce of her parents. She took LSD, joined a hippie death cult and helped murder a God-fearing citizen in her own home. When Perry and Leslie lock eyes in court, Perry is forced to confront the darkest parts of him and by extension, society. LESLIE, MY NAME IS EVIL is a film that explores how the choices Perry and Leslie make reflect upon the moral choices our society has made.

Dude... It kind of just looks like another Manson movie. It seems like every 1 or two years there's one of these movies on IFC.

Sadly, I don't see this getting a wide theatrical release but it looks good. And I'm so happy to see Gregory Smith.

Finally!!! Looks stellar.

The story looks paper thin, and the actors and their acting looks very amateur at best. Reminds me of a slightly more financed version of horror films I see people trying to sell that they made at horror conventions.

Yea...what's with the crosses in the head? Of all the images and footage of the Manson crimes, I have never seen any of the members with anything on the forehead that resembles a cross like that in this trailer. You want a truly disturbing rendition of the Manson Murders, watch Van Bebber's The Manson Family...you'll be wanting your mommy within the first 10 minutes.
