They're recasting Melissa as the lead and still think anyone's gonna watch it??? I hate when they recast leads in sequels...just take the damn character out if they won't return!!

Hell yeah!!! Dark Days is even better than the original. Hopefully this adaptation kicks all kinds of ass!!!

well that's kind of disappointing. I really liked the first film, but I hate when they do re-casts of major characters.

I'm very disappointed that Melissa George will not be returning, but I like the original a lot and have been looking forward to a sequel so I may still give this a chance.

Too bad no Melissa George. First film was an ejoyable different take on the vampire genre. Direct to DVD films are usually no better that Made for TV movies. Maybe one notch above but that's it. Too bad.

I saw "30 Days" about a year ago...I guess it just didn't "stick with me"..I was like, Who's "Melissa George"? Just went to Google Images...oh, yeah...cute chick! Dime o' dozen...sorry, just make the new girl a relative or something...you know...I'm sure some of the characters from the first one would have friends and relatives arriving in the area to find out what happened to them. All these friggin' remakes and everyone's disturbed by a new actress in the same role? Worse case...Keanu Reeves compared to Michael Rennie in "Day the Earth Stood Still." or the new kid playing Michael in "H2" as compared to Daeg Ferach. And "Direct to DVD" movies are today's "B Movies"not "Made For T.V. Movies".

I love "30 Days of Night", and I enjoyed the first film, but I'm not too jazzed about the recasting, and the change of directors. I'm on the fence about this one.

Looks like I'm alone in thinking that Melissa George sucks as an actress. Hell, she (and every other human) should have died in the first one anyhow.

Melissa George was great in the first one!!!! That sucks... :( At least now we have another vampire movie where they don't sparkle or talk about their feelings.

No Melissa George, I'll pass on this.
