After the release of H2 and The Final Destination, the news flow seemed to hit a roadblock, at least until today. Beyond the break you'll find our latest News Bites, which features Halloween with bunnies, terrifying children's art, a creepy German trailer for Pandorum, more New Moon stills and more!
HALLOWEEN... WITH BUNNIES!
Rob Zombie’s Halloween II launched unseasonably early in theaters last week so the Starz Bunnies have just released their own version. Furry fights abound in this hare-raising reenactment of John Carpenter’s Halloween. Starz Bunnies are ridiculous 30 second videos where cartoon bunnies reenact an entire feature film.

PROMO ART FOR SHELTER
In Shelter, single mother and dedicated psychiatrist Cara Jessup (Julianne Moore) centers her professional reputation on debunking the idea of multiple personality syndrome, until she encounters a criminal mental patient (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) whose powers defy rational explanation. This eerie contact with evil shatters her world, turning a cynic into an embattled true believer. Following her father's mystifying sudden death, Cara intuits that her own daughter faces grave danger. Directed by the innovative team of Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein (Storm), and giving a mountain voodoo tinge to the occult genre, SHELTER is a sophisticated and disturbing voyage into the heart of darkness.
Producers Macari and Edelstein (whose credits include Mulholland Drive and The Ring) will bring their unique brand of psychological spine chilling to the big screen once again in 2008. Academy Award nominee Julianne Moore (Children of Men, The Hours, Boogie Nights) stars alongside Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Match Point, Mission Impossible III).
Below you can check out some promo art from the Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein (Storm) directed film.
RIDE SHARE
We caught wind of a new Shuttle-esque thriller going into production soon entitled RIDE SHARE.
Written by Paul O’Malley ,, Annabelle’s ride share turns into a nightmare when the Driver turns out to be a sadistic killer who kidnaps her back to his cabin in the woods. No other details were available at this time.
Rue Morgue did a whole spread of Joshua Hoffine art work in the magazine. He's a killer photographer, not to mention his subject matter makes your skin crawl.
I don't get it -- that German trailer for Pandorum was pretty much just the US teaser trailer for Pandorum, but in German. Great trailer, though. Just not sure why it's news.
I would like to point out that none of Joshua Hoffine's work is photoshopped, it's all done with actual rigs, puppets, make-up, etc...Just photoshop is used to touch up light or color...Sorry to seem like a nit-picker...I'm not saying, I'm just saying
Dear lord, where to begin with New Moon... anyway, seeing the trailers for Pandorum on tv now, it's looking good, and October has never seemed farther away, lol.
The work by Joshua Hoffine is ridiculously awesome. It really gets under your skin and creeps you out. I was especially freaked out by the thing under the stairs and the clown.
Yeah I've seen those pics before on some other horro site or magazine. They're really cool. Don't get why Twilight's on here (well..I don't get why it's covered so much on this site).. Can't wait to see Pandorum though!!
The nightmare photos are amazing! What's really scary though, is the words "Daddy No" spelled out with the alphabet blocks in the monster under the bed photo. Is the real nightmare the monster under the bed, or the perverted monster who sneaks into her room at night after the wife is asleep...?
that Joshua Hoffine guy rocks!!! i almost regretted opening the link at night... man, my skin still kinda crawling... if they ever need someone to make good one-sheets or something, they should get this guy... (i think everyone agrees a lot of horror one-sheets nowadays are not very creepy anymore...)
I'm conflicted on whether to praise you for bringing Joshua Hoffine's work to more people or mock you for linking to a page from April of 08."
Since this is the internet, I suppose I have to mock.
Seriously tho, the dude's work is awesome, isn't it? I've been using his stuff as my computer wallpaper for awhile. Freaks out visitors....
Hey fellow horror fans! I recently purchased from a studio auction: the two main vans used in Halloween 2. I have the white coroners van that is seen in the first couple mins of the movie; the one that they wheel Michael Myers' body into on the way to the morgue. I also bought the black "shaggin wagon" seen halfway through the movie. I am going to be listing them on ebay in a week or so but thought I would give "real" horror fans first notice. If ur seriously interested email me. tamerhassan6603@yahoo.com
