@ The Dark One. No, 'Halloween' (1978), was Michael Myers fixating on a young woman, who dropped off a set of keys for her estate agent father, at Myers' old house. He just happened to be inside looking at her. He could obviously see his older sister Judith in her looks, and saw her as the goal of his obsession to relive crime. It wasn't until 'Halloween II' (1981), that John Carpenter decided to actually make Laurie The Shape's sister. A decision Carpenter actually regrets! Like I said before, much like 'The Dawn of the Dead' remake, I think they need to take that basic premise, make their own film out of it, and run wild with it. But yet stay faithful to the original Halloween lore. The character of Michael Myers, needs to be returned to the enigmatic unstoppable force of supernatural evil, he once was. The personification of pure evil; devil incarnate. A being with a detached reality; something born of this world, but yet not part of it. The Bogeyman aspect needs to make a comeback also. It's just that how the story is told, needs to be taken in a new direction. Now easy feat for any writers and directors to achieve; staying true to an original vision, but at the same time taking it to a new level. But it isn't impossible! And I think the only way to do this, is to start again with a reboot. Oh yeah, the original Myers wasn't that big to begin with in the first two films, as he was slim and tall. It was fucking Rob Zombie, who made him massive, and textbook 101 serial killer!
