Beyond the break you'll find the official trailer debut for The Descent: Part 2, opening in the UK on December 4th. The sequel will continue the story of Sarah, who as the only survivor of an all-female caving expedition gone horrifically wrong, suffers severe psychological trauma. Unable to speak, she accompanies a rescue team back to the cave, but events once again take a sinister turn. You can also find a TON of stills by clicking the title above. What do you think of the trailer?

The first one was more based on claustrophobia and made me understand that feeling. Sure we had those semi-vampyres-ghouls or whatever, but they only add to that uncomfortable feeling. By looking at this trailer, it seems to me that they forgot that the *Descent* wasn't necessary about the ghouls, but more on the feeling of helplessness in tight spots..so tight, that you can hardly breath. (Sorry about my bad spelling! A french guy is doing his best ;) )

Looks decent, but I dont know. In my opinion they should have just left it alone and not make a sequel.

Eh... I thought the first was a bit overrated... but still pretty good. I'll probably see this.

I will see this. Also, I saw something in this trailer that I hope is not the final scene of the movie.

Reminds me of Ripley going back to the Alien planet with other people and technologicaly advanced devices... the way that trailer was put together theyre stressing the subterranean creatures more thatn the claustrophobia. Thats whats going to happen when they remake or whatever The Thing. Its gonna be CGI overload and theyre gonna forget the mystery and helplessness that made it what it was.

The first one was really dark and it was hard to tell what was going on....I really liked that. It looks like they've brightened up the caves quite a bit in the trailer....and um....was that Juno?? Still alive??

I was one of the guys that made all the caves for this and the first one.. a lot of large areas of black with few tight spaces, nothing like the first sets we made, personally I thought they overlooked the claustrophobia.

I loved the first one and will see this just because of that but it really pisses me off that this sequel totally voids the great ending to the unrated version.

The Descent was not overrated. It is one of the best horror stories in recent years. They created characters with substance and ones you genuinely care about, and when they are put in this terrifying situation, you really feel bad for them. The confined setting, the suspense, pacing, direction were all well done. And yes, this does resemble Ripley going back in Aliens. I hope they made really great characters in this sequel and kept the feeling of the original in tact. I'm looking forward to it!

That had me on edge, all the darkness, waiting for something to jump out. Looks very promising. I liked the first one, but not the ending and thought the pace was a little slow. Overall, a quality horror flick.

ummm, didn't sarah die in the first one? At least the one that wasn't in theaters. Which by the way the director's cut is way better than the one that was released in theaters, way better ending.
