Beyond the break you'll find a new clip from Book of Blood the latest Clive Barker adaptation starring Jonas Armstrong, Sophie Ward, Doug Bradley, Paul Blair, and directed by John Harrison. While studying a college student who appears to be channeling messages from the dead, paranormal researcher Mary Florescu's (Sophie Ward) discovers a house that is at the intersection of so-called "highways" transporting souls in the afterlife. These highways are explained a bit in this new clip. You can pick this up on DVD September 29th.
I'm way excited about this. I read the books and they were phenomenal.
I can honestly say Clive Barker hits a nerve that most authors can't hit with me. Beside Brian Keene (I think..City of The Dead) No one has really made me feel dread quite like Clive.
Can't wait. Love Clive Barker... never would've guessed that this would be adapted for a film though... They really need to flesh it out for length, but it worked well enough for Midnight Meat Train... here's hoping for Son of Celluloid, Pornographer's Shroud, (a good) Rawhead Rex, and In the Hills the Cities...
Can't wait for this. Been a Clive Barker fan for years. Rambo...Rawhead Rex was already made into a movie. I have a Europe pal version. I believe it was never released in US on dvd only VHS.
I've seen this and unlike the BD review suggests, this movie was actually pretty damn good. I think it was also filmed mostly in Edinburgh, Scotland... my favourite city of all time =)
Looks good, just wish the could chill out with the CGI in movies now! Thas shot would have been way more effective, with a dolly instead of CGI!
