Seriously, can they leave something for the theater? Yet another clip from Summit Entertainment's Sorority Row has found its way online, and in the second of two age-restricted clips, we see how another of the five naughty teenage girls get done in. So far you've seen two deaths, and the first 3 minutes of the movie, how does it meet your expectations? Talk about it below and check out Stewart Hendler's remake of The House on Sorority Row in theaters on September 11.

Guess what? I whole bunch of new images have been released! Click here to check 'em all out!

Holy FUCK! That was INSANE! But damn, they spoiled probably one of the best deaths in the movie, or at least the coolest.

Okay, I really like this clip. The sex banter was actually kind of funny here, there was far more tension than in the shower scene, and the kill was pretty damned cool. For those complaining that this is just I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER (which, frankly, owes as much to 80s slashers like HOSR as it does to Lois Duncan's book) redux, I say this - so what? If this film corrects the mistakes of IKWYDLS by adding gratuitous nudity, giving us a variety of creative death scenes, and, above all, delivering a suprising (or at least compelling) closing twist, what's the harm? As a slasher fan, it would be awfully hypocritical of me to say, "Oh, not another one of these!" In this subgenre, it's never been about originality. It's about execution (literally and figuratively), and if the rest of SORORITY ROW is as well executed as the above clip, I'll be adding it to my slasher DVD collection.

Damn, that was so much more awesome than I pictured it being. It's also kinda sad; I knew she was gonna die from the trailer, but she's probably my favorite of the girls and it sucks she dies so much earlier than the others. Great scene though...can't wait for the whole movie!

Well I to will admit that was a great kill scene, but don't get your hopes up as like most remakes it's probably going to suck.

Can you say painful? And I must say...even though I was hard on the movie, the tire iron is a great, original weapon!

Dear 'Sorority Row', please piss off and make room for interesting horror news, especially if you intend on releasing your entire movie in its entirety through 'clips' before the actual release date. Sincerely, everyone in the entire fucking world.

Fine, I'll say it since nobody else will. That was flat out stupid. This movie is going to be campy and a waste of time.

My mind reels yet again. Are there actually this many of you, or do you just register under multiple user IDs? I have to agree that a guy who purports to speak for everyone in the world is a guy whose world is very small, very insular, and very narrow-minded, indeed. As for this being campy... Hello, deadfactory. I'd like to introduce you to a little subgenre of horror known as the "slasher movie". In particular, the 80s slasher movie and its modern equivalent, the 80s throwback. While some films in this subgenre play the material deadly straight, far more involve a fair amount of camp and black humor. That convention of the subgenre (and its close relatives) goes all the way back to Hitchcock's PSYCHO and its imitators (such as William Castle's HOMICIDAL), and really became the standard operating procedure in the 70s, in films like Bava's BAY OF BLOOD, the original BLACK CHRISTMAS, and even THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. Since you obviously aren't very familiar with the slasher film subgenre and its tenets, it's understandable that you might consider one which seems to have captured the appropriate tone and spirit a "waste of time". But, in the interest of fairness to the filmmakers and the millions of slasher fans around the world, you might want to spend a little more time educating yourself by actually watching films from this subgenre, and a little less time wasting our time with your uninformed opinions. Cheers!

djblack1313, I apologize if your poorly functioning little mind lead you to actually believe I meant I was speaking for the entire world and all of its inhabitants. This movie looks like a steaming pile of mediocrity and has yet to display anything creative or interesting to entice me into wanting to drop $11 to see it. I must have missed something (which is difficult, as half the movie is already available) that everyone else is seeing, as I don't really get the 'awesome' in this. I love slashers, I love the genre, this just doesn't look like anything too hot. I would rather sit in and screen 'Pieces' again.

jkrouskop, I've spent plenty of time viewing movies within, surrounding, and having evolved from said genre(s). While throwbacks are wonderful and a great addition to the horror genre, this really does not seem too appealing. One could argue (under your very same argument) that 'Prom Night' was the exact same attempt by filmmakers/some adhering to a 'genre' or 'sub-type'. In reality, it was entirely uninteresting, boring, cliche and merely capitalized on name recognition and mediocre kills to catch the eye of teenagers around the world. As someone very, very familiar with the 'slasher film genre and its tenets', I can, with all honesty, say that this film looks very boring and unappealing to me. To insult individuals and tell them they 'know nothing of a genre of movies' because they aren't interested in a movie is an act of blatant ignorance. I apologize for not wanting to drop $11 on something with little promise when I can very easily watch a great slasher that I already own, or even purchase the DVD of a better slasher to watch whenever I so desire.

Why not just release the whole movie while you're at it summit?

Horror_Luva
1:13am, August 25, 2009

lgoasklucyl, I didn't even bother to read your whole three posts. Get over yourself, a lot of people here liked the clip. I can't say because I didn't watch it, I'll wait for the actual movie. Just don't generalize, criticise those who DO like it, and think you know all about slashers because you've seen some '70s slashers. Chances are most people on this website own those movies as well.

lgoasklucyl
1:19am, August 25, 2009

Perhaps before writing a post to refute something someone has done, you should actually make sure they did it first? I have insulted no one for enjoying the clip. I made the statement that Summit needs to stop showing their entire damn movie before it's released, and a few users had a comical little shitfest over it. My insults were directed at individuals freaking out, not at individuals who enjoyed the clip. You want the picture perfect individual who needs to get over himself? How about an individual who feels the need to pop on a website, bitch and moan about what other people are arguing about, and make statements without even reading a word of what was said?
