"True Blood" thesp Stephen Moyer's stock is rising as he'll be joining Lily Collins of "90210" in Priest, the Scott Stewart-directed Screen Gems thriller that stars genre vets Paul Bettany (Legion), Cam Gigandet (The Unborn, Twilight, The Roommate, Pandorum) and Maggie Q. Scripted by Cory Goodman, the thriller involves a warrior priest who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who kidnapped his niece. Though he's known for playing a bloodsucker in HBO's hit vampire drama, in this feature film foray Moyer will play the mortal brother of the protagonist. Collins, who just starred with Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw in "The Blind Side," plays the niece. Shooting begins today!
Awesome. I really enjoy him as an actor, So it will be good to see a different body of work from him. Since PRIEST is set in the 'wild west' I assume he will affect a different American accent, or for some reason keep his British one?

I don't understand the dated mentality that stars on TV are lesser than movie stars, when a single decent episode of a show like True Blood or Dexter is easily better than 90% of the shit the movie industry pukes out these days.
