You've already seen the kickin' motion poster, now beyond the break you can check out the "ants" one sheet for Saw VI (watch the trailer), which arrives in theaters October 23. Directed by Kevin Greutert, special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw's legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw's grand scheme is finally understood.

KILL SAW!

The problem with every Saw movie after the first? The focus on Jigsaw, who is one of the most uninteresting hypocritical horror villains in recent memory... He's cool behind the scenes, not front and center...

Pretty sure they're wearing the signature pig mask.

Save IV and V were terrible...Hopefully this one turns out better.

@rambo - you are an idiot... case closed

Rambo you believe he's a hypnotic but if you listen to every word he says it's true every single person could have lived through there traps every single one designed by him look at all of them that you know are made by him and Hoffman. your just not seeing how he sees. and the ones that are highlights on the face and shoulder are wearing the pigmask with the reverse-able black and red cloaks and I as I thought like the poster says "the disease is spreading" if you go back and look at the other one it has no one wearing the mask or cloak

He never said he was "hypnotic" dude...

He's totally not even fair about his traps though, I mean, there are ones designed in such a way that there's no real way that the person could know how to do it like that, and then there's the issue of Amanda, the only person (at least in the first 3, I stopped watching after that) to survive one of his traps, yet strangely the only one who didn't have to self mutilate to accomplish her goal.

Oh yeah, and this is maybe the stupidest poster I've seen in the past decade.

I all those people wearing pig masks and Jigsaws robe?

Six sounds promising, like it might take us back to 1-3. I liked Jigsaw best in the first and third movies...

groundgamer

The little people are people waring the pig mask and red robe, worn by Amanda. Obviously this as a hint hat maybe Amanda is a big part of the story in this Saw? Anyway, cannot wait, it's going to rock like the rest of them!

jkrouskop

I've suspected for a long time that Amanda's death was faked, and that she's been behind all (or most) of what we've seen since.

Is it really necessary to duplicate the motion poster, without the motion?

Grime
11:49am, August 22, 2009

Saw Franchise is fucking lame just like this poster. Fuck you Saw fans.

jkrouskop

What's great about the SAW haters is that they're saying the EXACT same sort of things about the series that critics and other detractors said about FRIDAY THE 13TH and NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET in the 80s after a handful of sequels in each franchise. Yet those properties live on, and so will SAW. It's like heavy metal, folks - complaining about it only made it more popular and attractive to those who "got it". The only way to kill a franchise is to ignore it completely, and hope that the millions of people who've made it a success thus far somehow decide to follow suit. Good luck with that.

I bet some people are so stupid when they see "Halloween" on the poster they think it's actually a Halloween movie, haha.

Hate this poster...it better not become the DVD cover...

Mr.ClassicMonster

crap. ill stick to the wolfman trailer

Grime
1:33pm, August 22, 2009

To jkrouskop : All the Nightmare on Elm Street sequel were awful so those critics were correct. Saw blows. Saw fans are imbeciles. I 'get it'... but it (the Saw franchise) just sucks dicks.

The Bad Man
1:46pm, August 22, 2009

Posters not horrible, but I don't like it as much as I liked the posters/dvd covers for the others. Rambo sounds a bit funny calling him a hypocrite. Bringing morals into the villain, like he wouldn't watch Freddy cause hes a liar! Uninteresting? Really?

DOOMbot

that poster's sick... Im actually pretty psyked for this movie

jkrouskop

Grime, you need therapy or incarceration. To feel so much anger and resentment toward other people for liking something you don't is not just unhealthy; it borders on psychosis. The fact that you didn't recognize my use of quotation marks around the phrase "got it" to indicate that the sentiment was the feeling of metal fans, not an indictment of those who aren't, speaks volumes about your own qualifications to label other people "imbeciles". I deliberately put those quotes there so intelligent readers would realize I wasn't accusing them of not understanding the SAW films and their appeal. Obviously you missed that, so what else needs to be said on that topic? As for your assertion that all of the NOES sequels were awful (including, I presume, the highly regarded DREAM WARRIORS), that's your opinion, and you're certainly entitled to it. Unlike you, I (and most of the rest of the B-D readers) feel no inexplicable impulse to become violently angry with someone who has different taste in films than I do.
