I hope Repo Men (previously known as Repossession Mambo) FAILS

Isn't Repo Men just a rip-off of Repo! The Genetic Opera? If so, I agree TheInfected182, I hope it fails too. As for Resident Evil: Afterlife, I'm glad they moved the release closer! Awesome.

Why are they being so obvious about ripping off Repo! The Genetic Opera? It's a shame too because Repo! was an extremely limited release, while this one will probably be in every theater nationwide. So I guess the studio thinks that it's an original idea since they made some minor modifications. Have they no shame?

Nothing can compare to the brilliance of Repo The Genetic Opera. Repo Men will be treated as a horrible film meant to be on syfy channel.

Ripping off of Repo's script wasn't enough for these guys. At least Repossession Mambo sounds like a slightly different movie. Repo Men sounds more like a sequel to Repo: The Genetic Opera (or the 80s movie Repo Man) than its own separate movie. I agree with The Infected182, this better damn well fail. I'd hate this to become the next Disturbia or The Cave.

too all who are as sick as i am over the repo rip off do what i did. email the studio that is making it and tell them how you feel but in a polite way abpout how shamed they should feel about riping off a real film that had the balls to do it first. i'm not saying it will do anything to do what i did. but they should know that we are not fools and can see how much dishonor there is in their actions. i won't say the studios name because i don't want to get this site in trouble for my words but if you do a google search it should be easy to find that info out. let us be heard. all hail the real repo man who was first. i do think jude is a great actor though. no bad things to say for him. i would like to see him in a role like that. it's kind of like another man to play bond or batman. just another take on it. which is your fave repo? the musicle or the non. but really. there should be repect in the bizz of making films and no riping other peoples ideas off so openly. shame on that studio for their actions. no question about that.

again, let the studio know how you feel about the repo rip off. be heard my fello droogs. it does nothing to make the point to the theives of originality if you say it here. email the studio who is doing the blaging. make sure they are the ones to know we see the shame that is to be sent to them and them alone.

well, while i didn't really care for Repo! TheGenetic Opera all that much, this Repo Men is still a vicious and obvious ripoff of it. When I read the synopsis I thought "wait a minute, i saw something recently with that EXACT same plot", then remembered Genetic Opera. Fuck Repo Men.

Repo! is basically a play with 3 major acts; I expect a trilogy and am pretty excited about the unravelling (of course, fans will have to show a great deal of patience for that). As for Mila, she will pull it off, as usual. I would also like to seize the opportunity to send 1,000 positive vibes to all the bleak souls on this page. Rejoice in the blessings of darkness.

RE 1 - Entertaining, fantastic Musical score, reaks of atmosphere, good acting, decent story. The Laser Room hehe RE2 - Crap, especially when the Nemesis shows up. RE3 - Horrible, worse than RE2 in ways...I dont even want to get into it. The good news is that, PWA is gettng back in the Directors chair, hopefully he pulls off something simular or greater like what he did with the first. But actually make it horror and not bloody scfi

i keep wanting to come back here and SLAPPING this shit about Repo Men.. pisses me off.. i cant even let it go, it pisses me off so bad. -as for Resident Evil..i liked 1, hated 2, and loved 3.. I just liked all the action and trippy stuff in 3..part 1 had some great stuff too though.I will probably love it as much as 3 if i watched it again. 2 just plain SUCKED.

I just found this so I'm probably a bit late, but to all those who are wishing Repo Men or whatever its called now bad as you think it's a rip off. It's not. The film began production BEFORE Repo the Muscial and it was filming in Toronto at THE SAME TIME. I read the script for it a year before that. Give it a chance and stop being so closed minded. It's a good script and should be bloody enough to keep youhappy
