TRUE BLOOD HAS SERIOUS BITE
HBO's "True Blood" is the ratings phenomenon of the summer.
Having nearly every episode of a scripted drama post a series-high rating just doesn't happen these days (especially in a program's second season).
Sunday night's "True Blood" was seen by 4.5 million viewers, up from last week's record high of 4.4 million. In cume, "True Blood" is averaging 11.4 million viewers per episode (by unfair comparison, original broadcast shows this summer are averaging about 5.5 million viewers for their debut episodes). "Hung" and "Entourage" both averaged 2.8 million.
Check out the Will Arnett and Xavier Cinemash version of Carrie. [Parental Advisory] Adult Swim's 3-D animated character Xavier (Renegade Angel) goes to prom with Carrie, or Will Arnett, in this live-action/animation mash up of the classic.
To help promote the September 15 DVD/Blu-ray release of Paul Solet's Grace, Anchor Bay/Starz have been "tweeting" on behalf of several characters as a buildup timeline to the start of the movie. In addition, they have created a faux website for the "naturebirth" center that contains a number of hidden foreshadows and tricks that tie into the movie.
Twitter handles can be found at @gracemommy, @gracedaddy and @naturebirth
GRACE revolves around Madeline Matheson, an eight months pregnant woman who is determined to deliver her unborn child, Grace, naturally. When an accident leaves Grace dead inside her, Madeline insists on carrying the baby to term. Weeks later, when Madeline delivers naturally, the child miraculously returns to life...
SORORITY GAME
Over at the film's official website you'll find a gruesome little sorority girl-killing game for Summit's forthcoming Sorority Row, which arrives in theaters September 11.
When five sorority girls inadvertently cause the murder of one of their sisters in a prank gone wrong, they agree to keep the matter to themselves and never speak of it again, so they can get on with their lives. This proves easier said than done, when after graduation a mysterious killer goes after the five of them and anyone who knows their secret...
RYAN REYNOLDS BURIED ALIVE
This isn't a horror film, but other sites are covering it for some reason, so without further adieu, the first stills from the Ryan Reynolds (Amityville Horror) starrer BURIED.
Paul is a U.S. contractor working in Iraq. After an attack by a group of Iraqis he wakes to find he buried alive inside a coffin. With only a lighter and a cell phone it's a race against time to escape this claustrophobic death trap.

LOVELY BONES FEATURETTE
Bloody Disgusting got our hands on this special featurette for Peter Jackson's forthcoming The Lovely Bones, arriving in theaters December 11.
Based on the critically acclaimed best-selling novel by Alice Sebold, and directed by Oscar® winner Peter Jackson from a screenplay by Jackson & Fran Walsh & Philippa Boyens, “The Lovely Bones” centers on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family – and her killer – from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal.
I can NOT wait for The Lovely Bones.. It's such a sad movie =( But also kind of happy like Pan's Labyrinth.. I agree with Avigrus about it winning Best Picture
Exactly WHY wouldn't Buried be considered a horror film? Waking up to such a situation seems pretty horrific to me! Blood and guts do not make a horror film...
