Director Rod Lurie updated the status on his official Facebook page today with a surprising addition the cast of his forthcoming remake of Straw Dogs. "Beginning stunt rehearsals today with James Woods and Dominic Purcell." They join the previously announced James Marsden, Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgard in the film which follows Los Angeles screenwriter David Sumner (Marsden), who moves with his wife to her hometown in the deep South. Once there, tensions build in their marriage and old conflicts re-emerge with the locals, leading to a violent confrontation. Screen Gems has slated it for release on February 25, 2011.
This looks kinda promising. Remakes normally suck but at least this one has a decent cast and many younger viewers prob wont know it's a remake anyways. could be cool.
Oh my God I love Alexander Skarsgard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SO seeing this. I just hope there isn't much blood in it. Eww
