'The Wolfman' Walks Among Us in New Images!

Thanks to B-D reader 'Mark' we've got our hands on four brand new stills from Universal Pictures' The Wolfman, which now arrives in theaters February 12, 2010 after recently completing some massive reshoots. One of the images is pretty cool as it features a silhouette of star Benicio del Toro as the Wolf Man deep in the woods, can you imagine the suspense we'd be in if Universal didn't already release Maxim photo shoot quality images of the monster? Like the 1941 original that starred Lon Chaney Jr., new pic will be set in Victorian England. Del Toro will play a man who returns from America to his ancestral homeland, gets bitten by a werewolf and begins a hairy moonlight existence.

Wish this was coming out sooner. Love the original but this looks like it will be in the same league as Bram Stokers Dracula, but that's a great thing.

This shot reminds me of the famous 'footage' of Bigfoot.

"Like the 1941 original that starred Lon Chaney Jr., new pic will be set in Victorian England." The fist film was set in Llanwelly, Wales. I'm not trying to be a smart-arse prick by correcting you. I'm just saying that's all.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. It wasn't set during Victorian times either, but in the present day of the year it was made - 1941.

by Victorian England i think they ment the Victorian Era not an actual place.

@JoeTheInfected. The news piece clearly states, that like the original film the remake will be set in Victorian London. But the original is set in a Lianwelly, Wales, and in the present day of the year the film was made, in 1941.

obviously i'll have to wait to see video of the monster. but it almost seems like there is too much make-up. benicio is a hairy creepy looking dude without make-up. i think they should have tried to make the wolf look more like a human rather than make the human look more like a wolf that walks on two feet!

Yeah, LUCI...you noticed that, too! This will make the FOURTH time MR. DISGUSTING has said it! I KNOW he got my messages! Just for the record: THE ORIGINAL "THE WOLFMAN" TOOK PLACE IN WHAT WOULD APPEAR TO BE 1940-1941. WHEN IT WAS RELEASED, IT WAS A MODERN FILM AND WAS NOT SET IN VICTORIAN ENGLAND! I THINK "MR. DISGUSTING" NEEDS TO SEE THE FLICK AGAIN, WITH IT'S SHORT SKIRTS AND "HIP DIALOGUE". JEEEEEZ!

Very very nice. Monster movies need to make a comeback.
