And in fact, in the past MR. D has shown a lean towards H2 but like many, he has seen all the shit that has recently popped up and realized that a hooded car flipping Michael is just a bit out of line with the character. TFD is going to own - period. This whole final destiny thing is fucking pathetic and makes him looks like a bit of a jackass. If anything it will probably remind people that there's a better film showing that night. Why didn't Rob Zombie just make a new slasher film with a killer called Hobo-Myers?

I can honestly say I've never seen any of the Jason movies, so I can't judge H2. But I can say H2 and FD are both remakes/sequals so it's really just a question of which franchise people less fed up with, I think.

I agree, BD has been covering H2 since it was first announced back in December! We rarely recieved any TFD news, until now of course. I also think TFD will beat H2, you have to think logically. Yes, Michael Myers is a world wide icon, but Final Destination reaches out to a BROADER audience! Not to mention that all the past FD's have made MAJOR bank. And then add the HD 3D....whew, you got yourself a REAL winner. I'll be genuinley shocked if H2 wins the box office! They need to stop being fucking scared and release it in October, fuck Saw, I'm sure people will go see H2 over Saw.

The greatest FD movie (whichever one that may be) couldn't touch the worst Halloween (ahem...Resurrection). Subject stands in poorly framed shot when BANG! - they get splattered by speeding bus, falling sign, flying log, etc. So shocking. Sadly, FD3D will most likely kill H2 at the box office. Halloween II would have had a better shot at reclaiming October from SAW, I think. Bad move (for both films) to split the horror audience on the same day of release.
